Chardonnay

Sadnice vinova loza Chardonnay

Chardonnay is a variety that originates from France, is widespread in wine-growing areas around the world. Leaf medium, rounded, almost entire, surface slightly wrinkled, dark green. Cluster medium, wide with one prominent wing (cluster), quite compact. Grain of medium yellow-green color. The skin is medium firm, the meat is juicy, sweet, of excellent taste with a pronounced aroma of the variety. Vegetation starts very early, so terrains that are exposed to late spring frosts should be avoided. It grows on different types of soil and different climatic conditions, it does not like too much moisture. Fertility is medium and regular on all breeding forms with a long cut, a fairly large yield can be achieved, but with a significantly lower quality. Harvesting should be done early if you want to get sparkling wines. Mechanized harvesting is also possible. Slightly higher sensitivity to gray mold and rot at the northern ends. Resistant variety to chlorosis (it is jaundice, it is characteristic that the leaf turns yellow and looks like a leaf of dried tobacco). Good wine for sparkling wine production. Crossing can significantly increase the quality of neutral wines.
Available on substrates: Kober 5BB and SO4.
