Pear fruit seedlings – June beauty
Junska Lepotica Pear ripens at the end of June and the beginning of July. The fruits are small, have a typical pear shape, and a smooth surface, with a slight red blush on the sun-exposed side. The flesh is white, sweet, but not very juicy.
The Junska Lepotica tree is moderately vigorous and highly productive, flowering early. However, this variety is sensitive to late spring frosts during flowering, which can sometimes affect yields. Additionally, the fruits tend to spoil quickly after ripening.
In terms of pollination, Junska Lepotica has poor compatibility with quince rootstock, so a mediator is needed for grafting. Shorter pruning is recommended, especially to open the canopy and maintain the vitality of the tree.
Available on Rootstocks: Wild Pear, BA29 Quince (Provencal), and MA Quince.
