Red currant has an upright shrub, reaches 2 m in height and can live and give birth for 20 years and longer. It thrives in temperate climates with an average annual temperature of 8 ° C and an average summer temperature of 14-20 ° C. Not sensitive to low temperatures. Leaves at 2-6 ° C, so it is sensitive to spring frosts. It ripens in June and July, and the harvest is done by hand, when 90% of the berries are fully ripe. It is harvested in bunches and immediately placed in packaging or crates in which it will be transported.
