Cherry fruit seedlings – Ohrid Black

The Ohrid Black Cherry is a variety that stands out for its exceptional taste and the ability to be stored on the tree for an extended period after ripening. It ripens at the end of June and early July, and once ripe, it can be stored on the tree for up to a week, making it suitable for various uses.

The fruits of the Ohrid Black Cherry are large, irregularly heart-shaped, with medium-thick skin that is smooth and firm, colored dark red that turns nearly black when fully ripe. The flesh of the fruit is medium firm and sufficiently juicy, with unripe fruit having a slightly bitter taste, while fully ripe fruit offers a sweet flavor without enough acidity.

This variety is also known for the firmness of its flesh, which allows it to withstand transportation well. The pits are medium-sized, making the fruit easier to handle and consume.
