Pear fruit seedlings – Bosco bottle

Boskova Bočica Pear ripens in mid-September. The fruits are large and have a distinctive shape that resembles a bottle, which is how the variety got its name. The skin is dry, rough, with a russet coating interspersed with spots. The flesh is white, melting, free from stone cells, exceptionally juicy, and of excellent quality.

The Boskova Bočica tree is moderately vigorous and productive but blooms late. The variety is moderately sensitive to late spring frosts. It is also prone to insect attacks, particularly the pear psylla. When grafting, it does not have a good affinity with quince, so a mediator rootstock like Kaluđerka is recommended.
